French designers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec don't believe in the daily grind. Their new office concept, Joyn, challenges the day-in-day-out doldrums, embracing the workplace as a flexible hub of communication. While collaboration remains key, the Bouroullecs don't offer the open plan so popular in the past. Instead, they offer large tables, which can be customized for an individual's needs, and "micro-architectures," which add definition. Visit site.

Ahrend

This Dutch company might be new to the U.S. market but it's well-established abroad, producing standout office staples since 1896. We're more than ready to welcome the 230 seating series to our shores. With adjustable seat and back height as well as seat depth, these ergonomically responsive chairs will comfortably seat anyone. Phone 212-732-4691 for information.

Complementing the Cortona Lounge series as well as a preexisting side chair, Cortona tables are simple and sleek. Tops are offered in maple veneer, white acrylic, and frosted glass—we prefer the latter, which grants a glimpse of the gleaming metal frame below. Visit site.

Gunlocke

Sit in Quicksilver Design's comfortable Seneca chair at your office, and feel as if you're on a deck overlooking New York's Lake Placid. Inspired by the archetypical Adirondack chair, Seneca is constructed of solid and bent maple in a variety of finishes. Optional upholstered seat cushions and slipcovers available. Visit site.

Principle

Contrary to its name, Legal is not for lawyers only. With a range of cabinets, mobile pedestals, file units, panels, work surfaces, integral lighting, and power capability, Legal makes perfect sense for any office setting where straightforward, flexible furnishings are required. Standard veneers include anigre, walnut, and makoré. Visit site.

Bulo

The award-winning Easy Rider mobile desk-seat by Danny Venlet, an Australian designer working in Belgium, is almost too clever. A nomadic office, the Easy Rider creates the perfect spot to open your laptop wherever you park it. The injection-molded seat rests on three legs with glides or castors for easy relocation. At D'apostrophe,  212-334-5045.

Jofco

Lynda Chesser and Bill Schacht of CSD Studio designed two collections, Collective Lounge (for seating and tables) and Collective Space (case goods), that coordinate for a knockout office space. A cubist look inspired the occasional tables, which have an etched-glass top and come in a veneered or painted finish. Visit site.

Matteograssi

Kube offers compact stadium seating with sleek rectilinearity. Designed by Eoos, the piece folds to a slim package and opens to provide exceptional comfort. At Arredo, 212-334-2363.
