Famously fabulous Robertson Boulevard is ready for a fresh onslaught of stilettos as famed French footwear manufacturer Christian Louboutin opened its new 212box-designed store on the Los Angeles shopping strip this fall.
Located in a 1930's building adjacent to the Hollywood Foreign Press Association offices, the 1,800-square-foot, two-story space was made over by Eric Clough and Eun Sun Chun, principals of New York-based 212box, beginning with new awnings in Louboutin's trademark lipstick red.

Before entering, customers pass through a new hand-forged iron gate—embedded with Louboutin's logo, of course—and a front patio surrounded by jasmine and ficus bushes. Two large display windows on either side of the entrance offer a preview of the goods within.
Architectural details in the first room include such Louboutin boutique trademarks as arched display niches, and a mirrored wall where shoes are supported by white glass shelves. One side is covered in custom white ceramic tiles, first developed by 212box as a signature Louboutin graphic for its Sao Paulo boutique, each sporting one of 9,000 encrypted letters, numbers or symbols. Seating and ottomans imported from Beirut are strewn about for customers to use while trying on shoes.

The boutique's middle section contains a combination cash wrap/bar, where champagne is served. Clad in tin panels and fronted with built-in swivel stools, it sits adjacent to a large banquette. At the rear of the store is a 26-foot-high back wall clad in antique mirror panels, and a stairwell that incorporates a screen of blown glass bubbles as a railing.
On the second floor, Louboutin's acrylic shoe displays are separated by ceramic tiles, mirrors and smooth painted plaster. The front room boasts a large arched niche display wall, with a matching arched mirror that slides back to reveal the boutique's secret VIP room. Inside, the one-way mirror gives preferred customers a perfect opportunity to spy on a favorite sales associate—or stilettos.

this color scheme will never work. The pink pattern chair must go the chair would be better as a solid dark color to match a color off of the multcolor stripped coach.

I think that it very unattractive. Louboutin shoes are very stylish and high end. The decoration does not fit the style of the store. The store looks as though it belongs in the South somewhere.
