'02 Hospitality Awards

Staff -- Interior Design, 1/1/2002 12:00:00 AM

The word is out. Submissions for the second annual hospitality awards poured in from around the globe, examples of excellence that showed, once again, why this international industry is such fruitful terrain for creative minds. Because guests stay only hours, days, or weeks, hospitality projects can explore the total-immersion design experience. This year's judges—David Mann and Robin Osler, principals of their own firms, and John Bricker of Gensler—sifted through slides, transparencies, and CD-ROMs to find the very best, a word that embraces both Edra string chairs and quattrocento loggias. Welcome.
