Brewed in Brooklyn

edited by Sheila Kim -- Interior Design, 4/1/2004 12:00:00 AM

Last year, 30 on-the-cusp talents strutted their stuff at the inaugural Brooklyn Designs show in New York. For this year's installment, the borough's best return to St. Ann's Warehouse and the Brooklyn Designs Gallery in DUMBO. New exhibitors such as stained-glass artist Nancy Nicholson, ceramicist Lorena Barrezueta, and furniture maker Bettencourt Woodworking are joining Eric Manigian Studio, City Joinery, and 19 other veterans.

Check out the educational component, too: Interior Design editor in chief Cindy Allen hosts a panel discussion on how to succeed in the design business, while architect Michael Gabellini presents a survey of his minimalist work. April 30–May 2; 718-875-1000; brooklyndesigns.net.
