Bright Prospects

-- Interior Design, 3/1/2010 12:00:00 AM

% of Firms that Specify Lighting—Decorative 86%, Architectural 82%

The latest lamp releases from Arteriors Home reveal a taste for all things natural. Bright color comes courtesy of ceramics: The mustard-yellow body of Fiona takes a 27-inch-high white cotton shade stamped with swirling roses, while the juicy green of 28½-inch-high Finley repeats in the trim around the white linen shade. The mood swings rustic with Grange, its iron-studded mango-wood base paired with a similarly oblong linen shade 16 inches wide. Likewise mango are Ella’s elegantly intertwined carved blossoms, finished with natural wax and paired with a cotton-linen shade for a combined height of 21 or 24 inches. And Griffith’s Southwestern-style steel base, 29 inches high, is topped by a shade woven from recycled newsprint and lined in cotton. All accept incandescent or compact fluorescent bulbs. 877-488-8866; arteriorshome.com. circle 417
