On the Move

Here's this week's roundup of who's doing what, where in the design community.

Nicholas Tamarin -- Interior Design, 8/22/2008 12:00:00 AM

Huntsman Architectural Group named Alan Vartabedian principal in its New York office, and Sascha Wagner, David Meckley and Bill Puetz principals in its San Francisco headquarters.

Carpet manufacturer Bentley Prince Street reorganized its national sales team and now has nine regional sales managers, all led by Mark Arbogast, vice president of sales.

Stephen Lawlis joins HDR Architecture as a senior healthcare interior designer in the firm's Houston headquarters. Lawlis has 18 years of interior design experience, most recently with HOK.

Two Whirlpool Corporation senior account managers, Lanny Tillery and Richie Heumann, have earned Certified Green Professional designations from the National Association of Home Builders.

KKE Architects promoted Roxanne DeCoster and Cara Erickson to associates. The two will jointly manage KKE's Interiors Group from the firm's Minneapolis office.

George Chacón is the new marketing coordinator for RIM Architects' San Francisco office, concentrating on brand management, proposal coordination, public relations and business development.

Brintons appointed Tina Shaffranto as contract sales executive in Florida, based in Boca Raton. The carpet manufacturer also hired interior design firm Gepfert & Associates to represent Brintons in Ohio, where they will develop new business with architects and designers.

Sustainable furniture manufacturer Team 7, represented in the U.S. by Batinau Design Group, recently opened its first showroom in the Miami Design District.
