Kimball Office has formed a new business partnership. The office furniture manufacturer has joined forces with Connecticut-based Solidus, formerly known as Business Invirons. The second largest furniture dealership in Connecticut, Solidus provides product specification, construction, flooring, real estate, relocation, renovation, and technology support.

Managed by owners John and Mark Charette, the firm has expanded from $4 million in sales and 15 employees to a current staff of 52 and sales in excess of $25 million since 1991. The family-owned and operated business launched in 1965 as a small office furniture dealership.

“John, Mark and their staff have always taken a unique and complete approach to business space solutions,” says Randy Iles, vice president of sales and marketing for Kimball Office. “As a team, Kimball Office and Solidus will bring new levels of customer service and satisfaction to the Southern New England market."

Solidus, which in Latin translates to "complete," is headquartered at 1084 Cromwell Avenue in Rocky Hill, Connecticut, with a sales office at 1281 East Main Street in Stamford, Connecticut.
