Surfaces Preps for Las Vegas

A total of 42 conference sessions will tackle marketing, business, sales, design, and installation.

Mairi Beautyman -- Interior Design, 11/2/2006 12:00:00 AM

In February, Las Vegas is the place to be for the floor covering industry. Floorcovering tradeshow Surfaces, to be held February 7-9 at the Sands Expo & Convention Center, will feature more than 1,000 exhibitors, a conference program, and live installation demonstrations.

Last year, the event, sponsored by the World Floor Covering Association, drew record numbers—and this year is primed to be even bigger. The organizing committee clocks attendee registration at 30 percent higher and hotel reservations at 20 percent higher than numbers this time last year. Nearly 40,000 of attendees—retailers, distributors, architects, designers, builders, and installers—are expected to make the trip.

The show will feature the newest floor covering products, from carpet and ceramic tile to hardwood and specialty flooring. The latest tools and technology on the market will also be on view.

Featuring expert advice from industry professionals, the Conference Program will be held once again for the 2007 show. A total of 42 conference sessions will tackle marketing, business, sales, design, and installation. (Course descriptions, speaker bios, seminar and workshop pricing are available online.)

During the free Installation Showcase presentations, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in live “how-to” demonstrations, right on the show floor. Experts will offer tips and techniques geared towards smooth installations.

More information and registration information are available online.
