Punta, Por Favor

Mark McMenamin -- Interior Design, 1/1/2008 12:00:00 AM

Punta del Este has been attracting A-listers to its shores for years, a fact that isn't lost on one transplanted Uruguayan, the namesake principal of New York's Rafael Viñoly Architects. His first project in his homeland is oceanfront Acqua, a complex of 34 condominiums ranging in size from 3,000 to 16,000 square feet. The stepped form of the building will allow many units to enjoy their own private sun decks and swimming pools. Prices start at $1 million, with occupancy slated for April.
