The Planning and Visual Education Partnership's 12th Annual Gala paved the way for very happy holidays this year, raising over $65,000 for charity.
More than 500 retailers, designers, and industry suppliers, including Macy's, Polo Ralph Lauren, Target, Bergdorf Goodman, Louis Vuitton, Harley Davidson, idX Corporation, and Gensler, gathered at New York's Gotham Hall on December 10 for a cocktail reception, dinner, and the PAVE Student Design Competition awards ceremony. Ten students with winning projects in the competition, as well as six educators, attended the event as guests courtesy of corporate donors.
The competition, sponsored by Macy's, awarded $22,000 in grants to students and schools. $25,000 worth of PAVE Helping Hand Fund grants were also announced, with the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising and O'More College of Design each taking home $12,500 to further projects for students.
For the second year running, PAVE presented a Rising Star Award with this year's honor going to Bergmeyer Associates associate Rachel Zsembery. The partnership also recognized Bergdorf Goodman as the winner of the award for Best Window of New York City.
We would love your feedback!
