Decorex Expo Lands in London in September

Specialty elements include Hotels@Decorex and Antiques & Audacity shows, as a well as a conference series.

Meaghan O'Neill -- Interior Design, 6/8/2006 12:00:00 AM

From September 24 through September 27, the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea in London will be swarming with design professionals looking for the latest in luxury residential and hospitality design at the Decorex International expo, a partner event of the London Design Festival. With 250 suppliers of fabrics, furniture, floorcoverings, architectural and decorative lighting, wallcoverings, and accessories to scour, attendees, who include tens of thousands of buyers, will certainly be busy.

Hotel@Decorex, one element of the expo, is a special destination for hotel managers and design professionals working in the four- and five- star hotel, spa, and restaurant sectors. Nearly five hundred professionals attended this sector of the fair last year to see the latest merchandise for hospitality interiors. Presented by 26 companies, items on display include linen design and supply services, furniture, upholstery, and accessories. Antiques & Audacity, another corner of the show—introduced last year with great popularity—will present a bold mix of antiques, contemporary art, and furniture.

The Decorex Conference, which also premiered last year, will run alongside the exhibition. A series of lectures, discussions, workshops, and practical demonstrations, the program addresses topics, techniques, and professional practices for architects, interior designers, and specifiers.
