VOA Associates combined two of the holiday season’s favorite activities—decking the halls and building gingerbread houses—to win that annual Gingerbuild charity competition heed at Allsteel/Gunlocke's Chicago Resource Center in the Merchandise Mart.

But it was another landmark, Windy City building the Chicago Theater, that VOA channeled into a gingerbread structure on their way to earning the most delectable design in the pre-build category.

The team from Whitney Design had the more than 100 Chicago-area architects and designers who attended in a jolly mood with their Project Runway parody that bagged the runner-up prize in the speed-build category.

The event fulfilled its annual goal of raising funds for Designs 4 Dignity, a charity that helps transforms existing non-profit spaces through pro-bono design services and donations.
