Blessed with Talent

-- Interior Design, 1/1/2001 12:00:00 AM

Coupling a masterful technique with an unparalleled sensitivity to its subject matter, the Chicago firm Hedrich Blessing has set the standard for architectural photography since its inception in 1929. Their photographers' images of landmark buildings by such 20th-century masters as Frank Lloyd Wright, Mies van der Rohe, and Eliel Saarinen have become icons in and of themselves. In celebration of the firm's 70th anniversary, 400 photographs from the Hedrich Blessing archives will be exhibited at the Chicago Historical Society through July 8th.

Chicago Historical Society, Clark Street at North Avenue. For information, call (312) 642-4600 or visit www.chicagohistory.org.
