K/BIS Kicks Off in April

Attendees will have access to education and conference sessions as well as roundtable discussions led by industry experts.

Billed as the largest trade fair of its kind, the annual Kitchen/Bath Industry Show, better known as K/BIS, runs April 10-13 at McCormick Place in Chicago.

Owned by the 40,000-member National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA), the only trade association in North America devoted to the industry, K/BIS is an annual destination for networking, trends, and kitchen and bath products. This year’s event will feature several notable education and conference sessions, in addition to roundtable discussions.

On April 13, Candice Olson, host of HGTV’s "Divine Design," will lead a conversation on kitchen and bath transformations that took place on her show. Other highlights include the Implementing Sustainability workshop on April 11, the Surviving the Current Housing Market roundtable on April 12, and the NKBA’s annual business luncheon, also on April 12, featuring customer service expert Doug Lipp. Lipp will discuss how companies such as Starbucks, Intel, and Disney have adapted to the global marketplace.

"The workshops and event schedule at this year's show focus on the strengths of the kitchen and bath industry and what we as an industry can do to increase it's forward momentum," says Cory Smith, vice president of the kitchen and bath division of the Nielsen Company, the producer of K/BIS. "Incorporating new, cutting-edge information and the best, highest-quality products is what keeps this industry moving forward."
