The CA Boom Design Show, a highly regarded Santa Monica, California-based design trade show and exhibition, will make its East Coast debut at the 2008 High Point Market home furnishings show in High Point, North Carolina, October 20-26.
Dubbed CA Boom East, the exhibition will showcase modern, non-traditional furnishings created and manufactured in the product designer's country of orgin. The show will take place on the second floor of the new Cisco Brothers showroom in the 27-acre, 280,000-square-foot Mills Village, a LEED-certified complex of repurposed mill buildings surrounded by 7 acres of natural wetlands and 2 acres of forest.
"The High Point Market continues to have the track record of consistently attracting the world's most important furniture buyers," says Charles Trotter, CA Boom's creator and executive producer. "We see the High Point Market as the center and the future of where real furniture is made and sold and we are very excited to be associated with such a prestigious event."
The original CA Boom, now in its sixth year, includes contemporary and innovative design and architecture, from furniture and doors to surfaces and finishes. CA Boom East will differ slightly as it focuses on new, independent designers and manufacturers who have yet to be discovered by retailers.
"The CA Boom Design Show represents the next generation of contemporary designers and manufacturers and we are thrilled to have CA Boom East involved with High Point Market," says Brian Casey, president and chief executive of the High Point Market Authority. "CA Boom will be complementary to where High Pont is already positioned with the high-end designer community."
We would love your feedback!
