AH, THE PITTS BOYS -Edward, Gregory, David, and Kevin. The father-and-sons team represents the creative, marketing, and business sides of the David Edward Company, a family-owned furniture business since 1963. Throughout its 38-year history, the company has managed to maintain original design ideas for the contract market; the new collection, of which five examples are shown here, is no exception. The upholstered maple No Fly and Not 2 Fly, designed by Max Pearson, are armed and armless high-back chairs. A settee version as well as companion ottomans and benches are also offered. Not 2 Fly also comes as a sofa. Black Tie and the Black Tie sofa, from Studio David Edward, are tufted pieces with ebonized maple wood plinth bases or anodized aluminum legs. Plain, tufted, or button-tufted upholstery options are available. Belvedere, also from Studio David Edward, has a cherry frame with an upholstered or wood outer back.
