On the Move

Here's this week's roundup of who's doing what, where in the design community.

The board of directors of international building and engineering firm Thornton Tomasetti has named managing principal Thomas Scarangello chairman. Daniel Cuoco, president since 2002, has assumed the additional title of chief executive office, while executive vice president Robert DeScenza moves up to chief operating officer. Past chairman and chief executive officer Richard Tomasetti will remain active with the firm as founding principal and chairman of a newly formed charitable arm, the Thornton Tomasetti Foundation.

French interior design firm Pierre-Yves Rochon opened a Chicago office that will focus on hospitality projects across the United States. Lamarr Reid, formerly of Perkins + Will, has been appointed principal and managing director for the Americas.

Auction house Christie's International appointed Elizabeth Dunlap chief human resources officer, based out of New York. Amy Cappellazzo and Jeanee Sloane were named deputy chairmen for Christie's America. The company has also launched a redesign of their website.

Thomas Oberle has been appointed to the newly created position of public relations manager at kitchen systems manufacturer Poggenpohl Möbelwerke.

Culver City, Nevada-based landscape architecture firm Ah'bé has promoted Linda Daley to managing principal.

Architecture and engineering firm TRO Jung/Brannen has named Keith Garratt, Paul Fallon, Ethel Mcleod, Ana Roda-Fogarty, Ron Thompson, Paul Cooper, and Monique Taylor senior associates. Melisa Marcotte, Nick Votaw, Dan McDonald, David Gifford, Laura Klock, Scott Mueller, Jim Bryson, Dan Muntean, Tara Tuozzolo, Jonathan Foshee, Jeremiah Watson, Jamie Seessel, Doug McCurry, Wayne Vert, and Kojo Asiedu are associates.

Office furniture and systems manufacturer Inscape Corporation has appointed Barbara Cooper regional manager for the greater Los Angeles market.

Furniture manufacture MTS Seating has promoted Jennifer White to the position of sustainability coordinator.

Artist and designer, Deborah Buck, owner of art and antiques shop Buck House, has be named to the board of directors of Pratt Institute and a faculty member in the master's degree program at the School of Visual Arts

The Loukin Company has been retained by office furniture manufacturer Tuohy as their public relations representatives.

Architecture and interiors photographer and Interior Design contributor Adrian Wilson has a new website, adrianwilson.org.

In June, contemporary furnishings retailer the Morson Collection will open a new showroom in Boston's Lincoln Plaza.

Flooring manufacturer Flexco has announced that Oklahoma-based General Distributors will be it's newest full product-line distributor.
