Moon Shine Lamp and Shade

This floor lamp, with a 52-inch-high base, relies on its swirling patterned fiberglass shade for visual verve. Visit site.

ILEX Architectural Lighting

Designed by Silvano Fossati, Arte is made of solid brass in a variety of brushed-metallic finishes. The handblown glass shade comes in opal, cobalt, indigo, tangerine, limone, or mochette. Available in one-, three-, and five-light configurations, in two sizes. Visit site.

Focal Point

The Metro fluorescent pendant is hard-edged without being coldhearted. This thin-profiled rectangular pendant has a linear-patterned lens to improve light quality. The same goes for the collection's circular pendant and sconce. Visit site.

Prima Lighting

Through both form and function, these darling pendants brighten any area. Sunrays come in clear, frost, light amber, red, and blue. Visit site.

Brunschwig & Fils

Combining ancient technique and contemporary forms, the Lacquer lamp collection features boldly patterned ceramic bases. Neutral colors allow these striking lamps to harmonize in a variety of settings. Visit site.

KleinReid

Sure, flea-market finds give you a rush. But if you don't have time for the hunt, consider the Flora lamp. Its porcelain base in sepia or frost, turned-cherry neck, and bleached burlap shade provide that artfully antique feeling. Available in 24- and 32-inch heights. Phone 718-388-9331 for information.

Rico

The Grid table lamp by Rico Espinet is an urbane lighting choice. Made of cast metal in a sage, gunmetal, or pearl finish, it's available in 20- and 27-inch heights. Phone 718-797-2077 for information.
