InterfaceFLOR is LEED Certified

Carbon neutral materials get eco-friendly stamp from the USGBC.

A recent U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) ruling on climate neutral products has credited carpet manufacturer InterfaceFLOR with an extra Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) point for its modular carpet products. The Innovation in Design credit is given to products that are climate neutral--meaning they net zero greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide. 

Based in LaGrange, Georgia, InterfaceFLOR ensures that climate neutral certification is standard in its line, a criteria necessary to qualify for the LEED innovation point. 

"The availability of this new credit provides further incentive for manufacturers to reduce the environmental footprint of their products, says David Hobbs, president of InterfaceFLOR. "We are pleased that the USGBC has taken this step to ensure recognition for qualified, third-party analysis of products' environmental claims."
