Ch-Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes

Edited by Sheila Kim-Jamet -- Interior Design, 8/1/2004 12:00:00 AM

Design isn't just about aesthetics. And a long-awaited exhibition at the Vancouver Art Gallery, British Columbia, examines the discipline's profound impact on every aspect of today's world. Organized with Bruce Mau Design and the Institute Without Boundaries, "Massive Change: The Future of Global Design" charts life-changing breakthroughs in areas ranging from energy to the military to urban planning.

Highlights include a projection of cities expected to have the greatest population density by 2015, a rendition of Segway inventor Dean Kamen's design studio, and satellite images of the earth's ozone hole. October 2–January 3; 604-662-4700; vanartgallery.bc.ca.
