Sign of the Times

Edited by Sheila Kim -- Interior Design, 7/1/2002 12:00:00 AM

NASDAQ is getting a new, Times Square headquarters complete with the requisite blinking lights. Designs for the 53,000-square-foot New York office, by the city's Spector Group, feature an internal, freestanding three-story video tower displaying real-time sights and sounds of local street life. Plans also call for a reception zone with a NASDAQ ticker display, giving up-to-the-minute information, and workstations along the perimeter of each floor. The project, just entering the contract document phase, is expected to be completed in December, just in time for New Year's eve.
