IMM Cologne Awards Best New Products

Winning manufacturers include Glasitalia, Plank, Creation Baumann, E 15, and Ligne Roset.

From January 19-25, over 1,000 companies from 49 countries showcased their fresh new product design in Cologne, Germany for home furnishings fair IMM Cologne. Despite global economic woes, the fair clocked in over 100,000 visitors this year.

Two awards programs honored the best product design of 2009: The Interior Innovation Awards and the d3 Awards, honoring young designers.

This year, a total of 250 companies vied for Interior Innovation Awards. Members of an international jury of industry professionals awarded 25 products in four categories: Best Item, Best System, Best Detail, and Materials Innovation. Of these 25 winners, four were named "Best of the Best." Three winners were selected for the d3 Young Designers Competition.
