Shaw Creates Commercial Hospitality Brand

The company will market the brands collectively.

Carpet manufacturer Shaw Contract Group announced last week the creation of Shaw Hospitality Group, a union of Shaw Hospitality and Design Origins. Serving as a comprehensive commercial hospitality brand, the new group will allow the company to market its hospitality brands collectively.

Shaw Hospitality produces textured carpet for guest rooms and Design Origins manufacturers patterned carpet for public spaces.

The group will be spearheaded by Kevin Sanders, vice president of Shaw Hospitality Group. Charley Knight will serve as vice president of sales and Desiree Worsley as vice president of marketing. In May, a new Web site will launch, shawhospitalitygroup.com.

“This collaboration between Shaw Hospitality and Design Origins focuses our two hospitality brands and allows Shaw Hospitality Group to streamline its sales and marketing initiatives going forward,” says Tim Baucom, vice president of commercial marketing and sales.

Shaw Industries Group is a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway.
