Flaunt it

-- Interior Design, 2/1/2001 12:00:00 AM

The Interface brands-Bentley, Interface Flooring Systems, and Prince Street-will now debut product offerings in a new showcase space inside the Chicago Merchandise Mart. "Our new reusable and recyclable sampling box made from polypropylene served as the cornerstone for the design and finishes used in the showroom," explains Russ Ramage, creative director for the Interface companies. True to the New Economy, the Interface space is interactive, with counter-height lighted tables providing video monitors with Internet access. All video and electronic media were created by the Atlanta-based company Pencilbox. Local company EDE designed and installed the custom fixtures, and Christian Liaigre created the stools. According to Ramage, each of the three brands launched a signature product at NeoCon 2000, and these products are installed on the floor. Shown here are Bentley's Streatley Road (stripe); Interface Flooring Systems' Shima Ni (tile); and Prince Street's Nutty Uncle (swirls). Interface, Chicago Merchandise Mart, Chicago, IL 60654.
