Zealotry and Design

Voltere Agees -- Interior Design, 11/1/2001 12:00:00 AM

Never the twain shall meet.

Compared to the loss of lives, the destruction of MDF and acrylic is clearly a trifle. Nevertheless, Interior Design's editors feel they snatched a small victory from the bloody hands of religious fanatics by publishing Wayne Turett's design for TeleMedia Accelerator, a start-up incubator directly north of the World Trade Center, "just in time" for the September issue ("Going for Growth," page 206). For these abominable perpetrators and their kindred, may they be of any brand, race, or color anywhere on the planet (that also includes the Talibans in our neck of the woods), I must declare a deep—strike that—all encompassing profoundly heartfelt contempt.

Rubber-gloved,

Voltere Agees
