Lightfair Seeks Speakers

The LFI Management Committee intends to “create a global forum."

Mairi Beautyman -- Interior Design, 8/29/2006 12:00:00 AM

Have something to say to the architectural and commercial lighting crowd? The annual architectural and commercial lighting tradeshow and conference Lightfair International is seeking speakers to address lighting-related topics for Lightfair 2007, to be held May 6-10 in New York. Submissions, due September 15, must be made online.

Subjects will include applications, software, product updates, design innovations, case studies, know-how, business advice, and lighting fundamentals. Presentations should be geared towards a crowd consisting of architects, lighting designers, interior designers, engineers, facility managers, lighting manufacturers, contractors, landscape architects, end-users, and students.

Speakers will be selected by the LFI Management Committee, which intends to “create a global forum for the world’s most noted and respected authorities on lighting theory, engineering and design,” and to “sustain and enhance the educational standard set in the LIGHTFAIR International 2005 and 2006 Conferences, which rank as the largest and most acclaimed in LFI’s 17-year history.”

Lightfair will be held in the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.
