DUMBO Smart

edited by Sheila Kim -- Interior Design, 5/1/2003 12:00:00 AM

The industrial-chic DUMBO neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York, has clearly become a destination for all things interiors-related. Manhattan mainstay ABC Carpet & Home even opened a location there, joining hundreds of designers and artisans who already considered DUMBO a good move. But don't take our word for it—venture over the Manhattan Bridge, and find out for yourself. For three consecutive days, the first ever Brooklyn Designs is spotlighting the borough's local talent. Trade professionals and the general public are invited to St. Ann's Warehouse to check out furnishings both traditional and edgy but always divine. Striped acrylic lamps by Matt Gagnon, handblown glass vases by John Pomp, and walnut tables by Eric Manigian are just for starters. June 13-15; brooklyndesigns.net.
