Versteel

The innovative and wildly successful TIM table takes on the conference room with a modified design. Like the original, Conference TIM can flip and nest. Employ the optional crescent end piece to fit more people. Visit site.

Trendway

Every once in a while, we see a task chair that stands out. Take Xantos, for instance. With a unique seat-depth adjustment, the seat can roll out or retract for individualized leg support. A fabric mesh back offers soft yet sturdy support as well as a cool 3-D effect. Visit site.

Knoll

The Reference case-goods collection provides a quietly assured office environment. The tasteful components are particularly well made, with many units factory-assembled prior to finishing. (This assures continuity of color and the cleanest fit.) Available in 30 standard natural veneers and stains, with a choice of three gloss levels. Visit site.

Nienkämper

The Vox connected-table system provides lecture halls and training centers with a potent combination of refined aesthetics and superior connectivity. All forms of power, voice, and data access are handled by neatly concealed wire management. Surfaces are available in wood veneer or plastic laminate; the frame is offered in five anodized-aluminum finishes. Also of note: Vox comes in two heights to accommodate wheelchairs. Visit site.

Halcon

An attractive new system by Lauren Rottet and Richard Riviere, Abacus is distinguished by its range of components, finishes, and configuration possibilities. In other words, Abacus actually allows a designer to design. It's also user-friendly and adjusts without tools or special training. Visit site.

WCI

The Slimline/California series offers a particularly vast selection of contract tables. Stationary, tilt-top, folding, training, system, and conference models are available in plastic laminates, wood veneers, and base finishes. Visit site.
