East by Easton

Mark McMenamin -- Interior Design, 2/1/2010 12:00:00 AM

Ever evolving from the Anglophile reserve that put him on the map, Interior Design Hall of Fame member David Easton favors Eastern motifs at Safavieh. His 15 patterns range from Kyoto Fretwork, in cut silk against a wool-loop ground, to the meandering line of Beijing Ribbon, its wool ground accented by cut-silk pile. All are hand-knotted in Nepal at 6 by 9 feet, 8 by 10 feet, and 9 by 12 feet. 212-683-8399; safavieh.com. circle 435
