Record highs
Interior Design's 22nd annual Hall of Fame trumped previous years with its record 1,500 in attendance. The crowd filled the grand ballroom of New York's Waldorf-Astoria for dinner, video presentations, and speeches made from a gleaming new podium—the work of Tsao & McKown, using panels from 3form.

Best and brightest
It was a day after the Hall of Fame—but the party wasn't over yet, as 800 design notables packed the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York for Interior Design's first annual Best of Year Awards. The BoYs toasted both project and product categories, as selected by editor in chief Cindy Allen with judges Arthur Casas, Pam Light, Nick Luzietti, and Ali Tayar. Winners walked away with a resin lightbulb resting on an oak block, a trophy designed by Harry Allen.
