While Karim Rashid may be known for his daring fashion sense and the 3,000-plus products he's designed, his heart is turning to the home—the Smart-ologic Corian Living home. The industrial designer will debut the conceptual project featuring oodles of DuPont's ubiquitous solid surfacing material at i Saloni, running from April 14-19 in Milan.

The home will feature a kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, living room and garden, with Corian as the unifying element. New versions of the solid surfacing made with environmentally sustainable, bio-sourced components and recycled materials will be on display for the first time.

A new type of DuPont's other pet surfacing material, the quartz-based Zodiaq, will also be on display, along with the company's Energain panels for energy consumption reduction and its Tyvek non-woven membranes.
