Lock and Load: Interior Design Magazine Heads to Sandow Media

Interior Design magazine February 2010A&D media powerhouse Interior Design magazine is no stranger to evolution. The esteemed title has led the professional design community for nearly a century, advancing with each new decade, trend, and challenge. Today, publisher Mark Strauss and editor in chief Cindy Allen announce the magazine’s latest development as it moves forward under the new ownership of Sandow Media.

"I am thrilled to announce that Interior Design has been purchased by Sandow Media, an innovative print and online company operating in the lifestyle, retail, and shelter industries,” states Strauss. “This is a great day for Interior Design. Our commitment and ability to serve the community will only become stronger, enabling us to continue to build on our market leading products and activities.”

"This is a rare opportunity for Sandow Media to acquire this industry-leading magazine," says Adam I. Sandow, chairman and CEO of Sandow Media. "This brand has a robust print, digital, and research businesses, and holds the category leader position in its market."

With this transition, the entire dedicated Interior Design team is excited to be moving forward and the magazine will continue to powerfully offer the inspiration and connection it has for 78 years.

"Dynamic, fast, and innovative are adjectives that best describe Sandow Media. They also happen to best fit design and certainly Interior Design magazine," states Allen.

Affirming the team’s momentum, she continues, “Lock and load!”
