The Brooklyn Museum of Art presents 140 masterpieces from one of the most important collections of ancient Egyptian artifacts in Eternal Egypt: Masterworks of Ancient Art from The British Museum from November 23 through February 24, 2002. The entire period of pharaonic history, from the First Dynasty to the Roman conquest of Egypt, is represented in this exhibition, with notable objects including a small-scale funerary shabti statuette of Ahmose (right), illustrated sheets from several Book of the Dead papyrus rolls, and examples of Middle Kingdom jewelry.
