B&B Italia Opens SoHo Branch

B&B Italia chairman Giorgio Busnelli hand-picked Gabellini and his New York firm.

B&B Italia recently celebrated the opening of its second New York showroom. Designed by Michael Gabellini and his firm Gabellini Sheppard Associates, the new location flaunts an exclusive SoHo storefront, in downtown Manhattan.

The design team carved out a space to hold collections, iconic pieces, and new products from B&B Italia, Maxalto, and other home accessories. Flexibility comes in the form of a subdued architectural shell, featuring changeable panels. Billed as a “laboratory for the incubation of new design concepts for the modern consumer,” the interior is reminiscent of home, hotel, lounge, and club.

The new showroom is located at 138 Greene Street. The firm’s flagship store is located at 150 East 58th street.
