Lindy Roy Hits a High Note

The curtain is about to rise on a gallery at New York's Metropolitan Opera House. Conceived for opera-themed contemporary art, the storefront is the work of Roy Co.'s Lindy Roy, the designer of André Balazs's Hotel QT. Vogue contributing editor Dodie Kazanjian has organized the opening exhibition, featuring Barnaby Furnas, Cecily Brown, Richard Prince, et al. Their work was inspired by the 2006-2007 season's heroines, for starters Helena from Richard Strauss's Die Ägyptische Helena and Rosina from Gioachino Rossini's Il Barbiere di Siviglia.
