ECOsurfaces

Life's a beach when you're strolling across an ECOsand floor. Available in 12 dappled colors—including Maliblue, Riptide, and Beach Bum—the product uses grain-size recycled-rubber chips to create a smooth, relaxed appearance. This durable floor can help rack up LEED points under the Materials & Resources (MR 4.1, 4.2, 5.1, 5.2) and Environmental Quality (EQ 4.1) categories, and it is available in 4-foot rolls or in 36-by-36-inch and 18-by-18-inch tiles. P.O. Box 4944, 715 Fountain Avenue, Lancaster, PA 17604; 877-326-7873; ecosurfaces.com. circle 678

Refinery Design

Hatched from the idea of ladybug eggs that cling in clusters to the underside of leaves, the Clutch table features a round glass top on pods of solid reclaimed Douglas fir. And, as in nature, no two tables are exactly alike; this one is 16 inches high with a 44-inch diameter. 10439 SE 14th Street, Bellevue, WA 98004; 206-696-1130; refinerydesign.com. circle 679

EnviroGLAS

EnviroPlank's rectangular, terrazzo-style tiles can be laid to suggest the look of a hardwood floor. Made of recycled glass and epoxy resin, this durable and easy-to-maintain floor sports a résumé of installations that includes a NikeWoman store in California. The product contributes to LEED certification for Recycled Content (MR 4.1, 4.2) and—since it's free of sealants, waxes, and special cleansers—Indoor Environmental Quality (EQ 4.1). Tiles measure 6 by 3/8 by 36 inches. 5048 Tennyson Parkway Suite 127, Plano, TX 75024; 888-523-7894; enviroglasproducts.com. circle 683

Architectural Systems

Groove to a lean, green island beat with Tropical Veneers. Eighteen tiles incorporating organic materials—from plantain bark to coconut—are suspended in a clear, colored, or opaque resin up to 1 foot square. The products may contribute to LEED certification thanks to their reliance on rapidly renewable materials. 150 West 25th Street, 8th Floor, New York, NY 10001; 800-793-0224; archsystems.com. circle 680

Bendheim

Eco-friendly Coral glass, which comes out of an oxygen-fueled furnace, can be fine-tuned to designers' individual specifications, for security, safety, and privacy. The pattern can be ordered in tempered or laminated versions, in sheets up to 73 by 129 inches. 122 Hudson Street, New York, NY 10013; 212-226-6370; bendheim.com. circle 681

SuperLimão Studio

Zé Colméia is Portuguese for beehive, and this cheerful desk lamp is sure to set any office abuzz. A part of this Brazilian studio's Coduzindo line, this honey-colored light boasts a central column made from recycled plastic and an orb that's woven from polyester. Measurements are roughly 14 inches in diameter by 20 inches high. 456 Rua Manduri, Jardim Paulistano, 01457-020 São Paulo/SP, Brazil; 55-11-3518-8919; superlimao.com.br. circle 682

André Joyau

X marks the spot with the stylish and sustainable Cross side table, part of the Plus Grande collection. Offered in a milky cerused finish, this sculptural piece is made with salvaged white oak. Other options for finishes are natural, ebonized, and dark brown; the piece is 18 inches wide by 22 inches deep by 20 inches high. 20 Van Dam Street, Brooklyn, NY 11222; 718-963-2616; andrejoyau.com. circle 684

Milliken

This is one green product that's sure to stick. Apply TractionBack to any Milliken modular carpet, tamp it down, and—voilà—the carpet is installed. What's more, it can be easily pulled up again. The absence of messy adhesives eliminates one of the most serious environmental issues related to floor coverings: indoor air quality. The all-renewable, recyclable backing contributes to LEED certification in a slew of categories. 201 Lukken Industrial Drive West, LaGrange, GA, 30240; 800-241-4826; millikencarpet.com. circle 688

Lamin-Art

Company design director Hans Mutzke gave his innovative new Abacá surfacing the durability of a high-pressure laminate and then added a confetti of recycled banana-plant fibers. The result is a natural, dimensional look in 10 earthy and essential colors, from Burlap to Lagoon blue. 1670 Basswood Road, Schaumburg, IL 60173; 800-323-7624; laminart.com. circle 685

Lightolier

Lytecaster Energy Star–rated downlights win the approval of this government-backed program for their long-lasting and efficient distribution of light. Made entirely of aluminum, these recessed luminaires accept a variety of lamping, from 13 to 26/32 watts, and shine in both residential and commercial settings. 631 Airport Road, Fall River, MA 02720; 508-679-8131; lightolier.com. circle 687

Eco 21

Designer Cristiano Ribeiro do Valle turned for inspiration to the rainforests of his native Brazil to create the Aruaque table. Made from pequia wood and inspected and approved by IBAMA, Brazil's premier environmental group, the table features a 44-inch round glass top that offers a clear view of the natural-finish semicircular legs. It stands 231/2 inches high. 101 Henry Adams Street, Suite 366, San Francisco, CA 94103; 415-255-0992; eco21usa.com. circle 686
