Last month, wallcovering manufacturer Source One revealed the hospitality winners of its Source One Design Competition, recognizing design innovation, aesthetics, originality and suitability for intended use in wallcovering design. But the corporate winners were not unveiled until last week, at NeoCon World’s Trade Fair.
In addition to Karen Singh, Interior Design’s market editor, the judging panel of renowned design professionals included Stephanie Ebeyer, Gensler, resource director; Ken LeDoux, Ellerbe Becket, vice president and interior design director; Bob Lehrmitt and Sharon Drinkwine, Lehrmitt Associates, Austin, Texas; Neville Lewis, School of Visual Arts, New York; and Mike McCoy, Heery International, interior designer. Merit and grand prizes recognize excellence in both student and professional categories.
"We hope the competition inspires designers to keep their creative juices flowing and submit a design for next year," says Randy Scholes, Source One brand manager. The deadline for next year's program is December 1, 2006.
The competition is co-sponsored by Interior Design, and the Wallcovering Source, with contributions from D.L. Couch, Eykon and TRI-KES. All of the winners (below) will be showcased on the firm’s Web site.
