Call for Entries: 2003 Northwest Design Awards

Seattle Design Center and the Washington State Chapter of the American ociety of Interior Designers (ASID) are accepting entries for the 2003 Northwest Design Awards. The awards recognize professionals whose work has made a significant contribution to the design industry.
The competition is open to individual design professionals and firms in the Pacific Northwest (Alaska, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Washington and British Columbia) who have completed projects with the past three years.
Projects are judged on the basis of problem solving, creativity, quality of design and beauty of the space. The judges have added new categories this year to reflect various project budgets and scales. The list of categories includes:

Innovative Solution Under $50,000

Innovative Solution Over $50,000

Kitchen Design
-
Single Space: Bath Design
-
Single Space: Living or Bedroom Design

Single Space: Commercial (reception/lobby, boardroom, single office, medical suite, or legal office)

Entire House Under $50,000

Entire House Over $50,000
-
Entire Commercial Space Under 2,500 square feet

Entire Commercial Space Over 2,500 square feet

Hospitality
-
Unclassified Classy (May include exterior living spaces, historic renovation, display/exhibition spaces)

Best of the Northwest
Designers can enter projects in one or more categories. Project submissions must be received at the Washington State Chapter of ASID office by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, September 2, 2003. The entry fee is $40 per project and $35 per project for ASID members.
Winners will be announced at the Design Awards Gala to be held Thursday, October 2, 2003 at the Seattle Design Center.
