On Monday, President Barack Obama spent his pre-inaugural “Day of Service” seeing blue.

After urging citizens to spend the Martin Luther King holiday volunteering in their communities, the then President-elect acquainted himself with the community he now calls home. Upon a visit to Sasha Bruce House, a shelter for teenagers in Washington, D.C., Obama rolled up his sleeves, picked up a paint roller, and helped other volunteers dress the shelter in Benjamin Moore Aura shades of Laguna Blue 2059-30 and Yosemite Blue 2059-40. The paint, chosen specifically for its “environmentally friendly” make-up, was provided by Frager’s Hardware.
