IIDA Olé

Staff -- Interior Design, 7/1/2006 12:00:00 AM

The International Interior Design Association's 33rd annual awards ceremony, aka the Cool gala, attracted a hot list of 500 guests to the Westin Chicago River North during NeoCon. Industry notables and scantily clad models gathered in honor of the winners: Burdifilek; Gabellini Sheppard Associates; the Rockwell Group; Skidmore, Owings & Merrill; and Substance Architecture. The latter won Best of Competition, while SOM won the People's Choice award, tallied by tabletop voting boxes. The Will Ching prize, for firms of five or fewer, went to C&C Studio. And everyone took home a commemorative paper fan.
