Here's this week's roundup of who's doing what, where in the design community.

Global healthcare design firm Ellerbe Becket has named Gregory Chang its Washington, D.C.-based national director of healthcare. He succeeds Jon Buggy, who is now focused on managing the firm's Minneapolis office.

The Georgia Institute of Technology has named Alan Balfour the fourth dean of its College of Architecture. Balfour was previously dean of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute's School of Architecture.

International mosaic tile manufacturer and distributor Trend Group has named Andrea Di Giuseppe chief executive officer.

Carpet manufacturer Milliken & Company won the Silver Crescent Award for Manufacturing Excellence in the large manufacturer category from the Silver Crescent Foundation and the South Carolina Manufacturing Extension Partnership.

Office furniture major Haworth has created a new website, organicworkspaces.com, devoted to green design and its new eco-conscious headquarters, One Haworth Center.

The American Institute of Architects Oregon chapter has named John Blumthal, a principal at Portland-based Yost Grube Hall Architecture, as its new president.

The American Institute of Architects has named as fellows Gensler executive director Diane Hoskins and sustainability design director Rives Taylor.

New York-based interior designers Mary Foley and Michael Cox have opened the Foley & Cox Home store in Hudson, New York.

The American Society of Interior Designers has inducted KSA Interiors principal Cameron Stiles into its College of Fellows.

Home furnishing manufacturer Moura Starr has announced plans to open a new showroom in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The National Building Museum in Washington, D.C. has launched a new website, nbm.org.

Workplace manufacturer Inscape Corporation appointed Gretchen de Gouveia regional manager for its California market of Orange County, San Diego and Inland Empire.
