Sometimes you have to stand up for what you believe in, or in Coalesse's case, sit down.

Beginning April 1, the furniture manufacturer will take a backseat to no one in the annals of innovative charitable giving when it begins to donate $1 to the A&D charity Architecture for Humanity for every person who sits in their X-Stack chair.

Running through May 14, the promotion will take place at select Coalesse dealer showrooms and those of its parent company, Steelcase, as well as in participating architecture and design firms throughout the United States and Canada.

The company's goal is to generate $5000 for the charity, which directly benefits 10,000 people annually throughout the globe in places like Haiti and Kenya with its nonprofit design, construction, and development services provided by a network of more than 40,000 professionals. Its advocacy, training, and outreach programs impact another 50,000 people annually.
