With contract furnishings increasingly finding their way into houses and apartments, B&B Italia is keeping its options open with Project, a live-work collection that launched at this year's Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan. Antonio Citterio's familiar Luta chair, for example, is a residen- tial design modified for the workplace via a five-spoke aluminum base and wheels. For task or guest seating, there's Citterio and Toan Nguyen's versatile Ottochair, its back offered in an edgy combination of colored and clear plastic, leather, or fabric. New to B&B, the Table—formerly available exclusively through Monica Armani's private label—has become a glass-topped desk, thanks to the addition of a rolling file cabinet or hanging shelves. Patricia Urquiola's Shift bookcase module with sliding doors and irregular outlines is from the company's residential collection but could also unbutton the most corporate of settings. 150 East 58th Street, New York, NY 10155; 800-872-1697; bebitalia.it.
