Office furniture manufacturer Steelcase is bringing some much need healthcare support to the Big Apple in the form of Nurture, its first full-scale showroom devoted to the field in New York.

Nurture, now open at 4 Columbus Circle, the same buildingĀ that houses Steelcase's New York showroom, offers a series of healthcare environments including exam and waiting rooms and caregiver and patient stations. The showroom is modeled after Nurture outposts already open in Grand Rapids, Chicago, Atlanta, Toronto, Houston, and San Francisco.

"This new showroom space does an excellent job in presenting a wide variety of healthcare environments and gives our East Coast clients and sales teams a dedicated space that will allow them to truly be immersed and inspired when they're working on developing new or updated environments," says Nurture's director of experience marketing, Libby Ferrin.

The Nurture in New York is centered on an acute care hospital environment that includes an oncology clinic. The clinic's design is based on the Nuture's recent "Environments for Cancer Care" research endeavor and features the brand's trademark modular Sonata "oncology infusion casegoods."

"We're very happy with the way the showroom came together," says Ferin. "People associate New York with contemporary-classic design and innovation and I think the new Nurture showroom only helps support that image."
