Lin in Indiana

Mark McMenamin -- Interior Design, 9/1/2007 12:00:00 AM

A tribute to Indiana's underground river system, Maya Lin's site-specific sculpture of aluminum tubing, Above and Below, will visually connect the Indianapolis Museum of Art with the Virginia B. Fairbanks Art & Nature Park, opening in 2009. You won't have to wait that long to see the Lin piece, fortunately. It's being unveiled alongside Browning Day Mullins Dierdorf Architects's $74 million expansion, which added three wings, 50 percent more gallery space, and enhanced services. Opening October 12; 317-923-1331; ima-art.org.
