Illuminate

August's "Market" continues here with a handful more of our lighting picks.

Kundalini
The Entropia table lamp, designed by Lionel Dean, features a chrome-plated base and a sculptural laser-sintered nylon diffuser that comes in a frosted white color. It’s also available as a wall lamp or ceiling pendant. 34 Via F. de Sanctis, Milan, Italy I-20141; 39-02-3653-8950; kundalini.it.

Pallucco
Susanne Philippson recreates the classic lamp with a little twist—Guardian of Light features a polycarbonate “cape” that “peels away” to reveal the light inside. Available in black, white, or aluminum gray, the floor lamp version stands 71 inches tall. 36 Via Azzi, Treviso, Italy 31040; 39-04-2243-8800; palluccobellato.it. Italamp
Linear and sleek, Carré 3034/AP1 is not your grandma’s wall sconce. With a chrome body, it features a burst of color that comes from an inlaid Swarovski Strass at either end. 8 Via Fermi, Zona Industriale, Cadoneghe Padova, Italy 35010; 39-04-9887-0442; italamp.com. Bocci
Omer Arbel’s 14 Series is a low-voltage pendant that’s designed to be hung in clusters. It features spherical cast-glass diffusers and braided-metal coaxial cables. 604-710-4486; bocci.ca. Miranda Watkins Design Limited
Miranda Watkins created Random, a special installation that was constructed from semi-translucent Perspex and anodized aluminum. The panels cascade in clusters around the light source to create a randomly diffused effect. Random can be recreated by the designer and specified in different colors or scales. 2.11 Oxo Tower Wharf, Bargehouse Street, London, England SE1 9PH; 44-20-7928-9206; mirandawatkins.com. OCL
The unobtrusive Illusion wall light resembles a minimalist sculpture akin to the work of Donald Judd. Using two lamps to spread light evenly along the fixture’s length, it comes in 2-foot and 4-foot versions. 6120 Delmar Boulevard, Saint Louis, MO 63112; 314-863-1895; ocl.com. Fuksas
Call it sculpture with a function. Corpus is a coffee table—designed by architects Doriano and Massimiliano Fuksas and artist Mimmo Paladino—that was exhibited in Milan earlier this year. Constructed of copper, it features a backlit base that’s covered by the table’s silicon legs. Get moving fast, though, as only nine limited and signed editions were produced. fuksaspublications@fuksas.it. Lucifer Lighting Company
The subtle Mirage Modular recessed downlights can create different effects using two of three available apertures that range from an ordinary square to a wall-washer. 3750 IH35 North, San Antonio, TX 78219; 210-227-7329; luciferlighting.com.
