Game Theory

Staff -- Interior Design, 6/1/2001 12:00:00 AM

Through April, 2002, MASS MoCA mounts Game Show, a thoughtful and provocative glimpse into how artists in various media have been influenced by the art of play. Visitors can view and participate in pieces by Sophie Calle, Perry Hoberman, and Christian Jankowski, who have incorporated game structures and tackled such related concepts as chance and mastery in their work. An attendant performing arts series with events by Philip Glass and Paul Auster, as well as a companion show, Marcel Duchamp and Games, further investigates the genre.

MASS MoCA is located at 87 Marshall Street in North Adams. Call (413) 664-4481 or visit www.massmoca.org.
