Pernille Pedersen ("Arts and Craftsmanship," page 164; "High Concept," page 178; "Open House," page 194) is a freelance photo editor who contributes frequently to Interior Design. With partner/photographer Thomas Loof of Studio, she produces and styles shoots for international advertising campaigns and publications, including French and German Architectural Digest, Case da Abitare, and Condé Nast Traveler. Pernille received her undergraduate degree in film from the University of Copenhagen and moved to New York in 1998 to complete her master's in contemporary cultural studies and architecture at Columbia. She loves to cook and and specializes in Danish Christmas lunches off season.

Gregory Williams ("Flux Interior," page 206) is a writer and art critic living in New York. He contributes regularly to Artforum and works as an editor at Cabinet, a Brooklyn-based magazine of art and culture. Currently working toward a Ph.D. in art history at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York, he teaches at Queens College. He was previously the Assistant Director of Apex Art Curatorial Program, where he organized the exhibition "Arrested Ambition" in 1999. His writing has also appeared in frieze, Art Journal, Nu: The Nordic Art Review, Performing Arts Journal, Artbyte, and other periodicals.

Aric Chen ("Creature Comforts," page 186) is a freelance writer based in New York. He holds degrees in architecture, anthropology, and the history of decorative arts, and has a checkered resume that includes experience in museums, auction houses, restaurants, architecture firms, and as an energy consultant for a major oil company. Today, he can be found typing away in his West Village studio apartment for numerous art, fashion, and design publications.
