Hosting the second annual Best of Year Awards ceremony in the theater at Renzo Piano's New York Times building was a treat in itself—and we continue to fete the recipients in these pages. Again, it was a banner year of achievements in cutting-edge interiors, architecture, and products. I extend congratulations to the winners and a heartfelt thank-you to everyone instrumental in helping me with the momentous delivery of BoY '07, particularly the judges who joined me in the grueling selection process: John Bricker, Lauren Rottet, Ali Tayar, and Mark Zeff.

Our BoYs find themselves in excellent company in this issue, alongside portraits of new Hall of Fame inductees Carl D'Aquino and Francine Monaco, Todd DeGarmo, Murray Moss, and Ingo Maurer. Then there's our traditional year-end photographic grand tour of both the iconic and the pacesetting. Join me inside, and procure yourself a great spot at the starting line of the design marathon of 2008.
