Towers of tomes are destined to rise in Uptown, a vertically minded storage system by Lapo Ciatti. Scratch-resistant, solvent-free MDF is used for the 7¾-inch-wide figures, which can stand individually or be combined to create a bunching unit. PP Mobler Clothes Tree

Whether you fling your duds on a chair, or drape them carefully on a hanger, Cecilie Manz's starkly primitive Clothes Tree is a depot for all dispositions. Maison Gerard Rosewood and Yellow

French designer Jean Berenger de Nattes joins the gallery's esteemed roster with 14 pieces of limited-edition furnishings, including the Rosewood and Yellow table. Architect Simon Koumjian III shapes multilayered Baltic birch plywood into sinuous sculptures that ultimately serve as Sea tables. Berman Rosetti Elle

Asymmetry adds mystery to Elle, an almost-cantilever console cabinet save for the ½-inch sheet of blackened steel that supports one end of the 2-inch-thick koa tabletop. Zoe Mowat Design Contain

Inspired by her childhood school's desks, which featured milled compartments and channels for pencils and the like, Mowat has created an updated version for the adult—the Contain writing desk.
